Eclipse

I’m in love with you, Bella. Bella, I love you. And I want you to pick me instead of him. I know you don’t feel that way, but I need the truth out there so that you know your options. I wouldn’t want a miscommunication to stand in our way.
~Jacob Black

Action... Suspense... Romance... A love Triangle... what more could you ask from Stephenie Meyers third book in the Twilight Series ~ Eclipse! This book was definitely the most action packed out of the three so far. You start to feel all the emotions buddled up inside Bella... the fear of loosing one of the two men she loves... the anxiousness to get the change over with... the angst to try to take things to the "next level" with Edward... the uncertainty of the future. I can't wait to start to read the fourth and final book in this series. I can't wait to see if everything pans out the way Alice sees it, or how many decisions will alter what the future has in store for Edward and Bella. Reading this series makes you realize how boring real life really is :)
"It had not been Edward and Jacob that I’d been trying to force together, it was the two parts of myself, Edward’s Bella and Jacob’s Bella. But they could not exist together, and I never should have tried." - Bella Swan

Haddonfield

When you are in Love you can't fall asleep because reality is better than your dreams."
-Dr.Seuss

Today my favorite person in the world and I spent the afternoon together in Haddonfield. The tree lined streets, the cute shops, the best place to take some really beautiful pictures... it was an awesome afternoon to just walk the streets, hand in hand, and window shop and eat at a cute little cafe... just being with him makes me realize again and again how much I love him! Below are some scenic pictures from our afternoon together.

Beach Pictures

“Our memories of the ocean will linger on, long after our footprints in the sand are gone.”
--Anonymous
Last weekend after we took pictures for my friends family, Ryan and I went down to the Ocean City boardwalk for some Mack n Manco pizza, because we can't go to OC without getting a slice and a lemonade! :) Even though it was cold, there was such a beautiful sunset, so we decided to walk along the beach before we drove home...

The Linvill Family

"The love of a family is life's greatest blessing"
-Unknown

Last Sunday afternoon I had a beach session on Ocean City for my friend Maggie's family. We met at the 59th street beach for the pictures... and as you can probably tell in some of the pictures, it was a windy day. We tried to do the best we could with the wind, but overall we were able to get some pretty great pictures! They were such a fun family to meet and capture the love that is shared between them all. Below are some of my favorite pictures from the day.

New Moon

"You’re not asleep, and you’re not dead. I’m here, and I love you. I have always loved you, and I will always love you. I was thinking of you, seeing your face in my mind, every second that I was away. When I told you that I didn’t want you, it was the very blackest kind of blasphemy."
-Edward Cullen

New Moon, the second book in the Twilight Saga has left me breathless, wanting for more. I just finished the book on my break at work, and I can't wait go go home and break open Eclipse and start reading that! I have to admit though, I had a little diappointment running through my mind halfway through the book when you know who hadn't come back yet. After reading the Authors reasoning for writing the book the way she did (www.stepheniemeyer.com) I definitely understand why she did it. But the most captivating parts, in my opinion, of this book were the beginning and the end. Obviously those are the parts that contain Edward... I won't ruin anything for anyone, but I can't wait to see what happens in the next one and what may become of the mortality of Bella... :)

"Edward was here, with his arms around me. I could face anything as long as that was true. I squared my shoulders and walked forward to meet my fate, with my destiny solidly at my side." -Bella Swan

Website!

After weeks of anticipation... my website is finally up and running! You can check it out at http://www.tamimelissaphotography.com/. I'm so happy with it, and I can't wait to take more pictures to display on it! This past weekend I did a family portrait session in Ocean City for my friend Maggie and her family, and I'm hoping to take some pictures of my cousins during these upcoming fall months... they will be great additions to the website! Plus, when I'm done editing them, I'll post a couple on here too!
After Ryan and I took Maggie's pictures we, of course, went to Mack 'n Manco's for pizza... yum yum! And then we walked along the freezing cold beach, and I was able to take some gorgeous pictures as the sun was going down... so they'll be posted sometime within the next couple days.
So much to do, so little time! I just can't wait until this semester is over, and I graduate, that way I can spend even more time on my photography! Thankfully weekends are free for that right now! On top of all the photography, I've been staying up at night reading the 2nd book in the Twilight Saga... New Moon... so that hasn't been helping my sleep deprivation! LOL... I could only imagine what the people I work with must think! Photography and Twilight consume my life right now... but man, I don't think I've ever been happier!
So, go check out the website, and let me know what you think!! xoxo

Twilight

"About three things I was absolutely positive.
First, Edward was a vampire.
Second, there was part of him —
and I didn’t know how potent
that part might be —
that thirsted for my blood.
And third, I was unconditionally and
irrevocably in love with him."
- Bella Swan

Okay, I have to admit... I was a skeptic! I did not like novels about vampires. Truthfully, I do not like novels that do not have realistic storylines. So, when the Twilight Saga became such a phenomenon, I became a little curious as to why... So many people were raving on and on about these books by Stephenie Meyer, that I had to buy the first one, just to check it out.

Well, let me tell you... I AM HOOKED! I started reading the book on Thursday during my break at work, and could not put it down. I finished it at 3am last night. Stephenie Meyer has such a talent for reeling you in and not letting go. I had to go out last night to Barnes & Noble to buy the other 3 books in the series, because I knew I'd want to start the 2nd one as soon as I was done the first. I will start New Moon tonight :) If you are someone who loves romance and passion and sensuality, then this is the book for you! Don't let the fact that it is found in the "Young Adult" section at Barnes & Noble fool you... its anything but a Young Adult book! It will captivate you from beginning till the end! I feel like as Bella fell in love with Edward, that I was falling along with her... the sound of his voice... the touch of his skin... the mystery about him... *sigh* I won't ruin it for anyone who hasn't read it yet... Notice I said YET! Definitely go read this book, I guarantee you won't put it down!

I cannot wait until November 21st when the movie comes out! Ryan has actually agreed to go with me, so I am pretty excited!! Any other Twilight lovers want to come too, just let me know! :)

New Computer

OMG! What a nightmare! I got a brand new computer on October 15, 2007... it was a really nice computer, or so I thought... and last Sunday it decided to NOT turn on. I was on the phone with the technical department for about 2 hours, and thankfully it started to work again! I then took all the precautions I could and backed up all my programs, actions, packages and photographs. I am so glad I did, because my 1-year warranty is now up, and my computer won't turn back on!
Sooo... Ryan and I went to King of Prussia mall today, and I was able to buy a phenomenal new computer... and ya know whats the best part? It's pink :) Its got more memory than I'll ever need, and it is so fast, even when I have everything open! I am so happy, but now I have to re-load everything from my old computer onto this one, so it may take a couple days to get new stuff up here.
Also, I am currently working on my website... it should be up in a couple of days. It will be www.tamimelissaphotography.com. I'm soooo excited about it! So, I'll definitely let you know when it is up and running!
Well, I'm going to go start re-loading all my infomation on my new pink computer! YAY!
Oh yeah... Its halfway through the second period and Flyers are winning against San Jose! GO FLYERS!!

Teri & Herb: Surprise Engagement!!

"When you realize you want to spend
the rest of your life with somebody,
you want the rest of your life
to start as soon as possible."
~When Harry Met Sally

This past Saturday, October 11, 2008, Ryan and I had the pleasure of photographing a very old friend of mine, Teri and her boyfriend Herb. They were talking about getting engaged, and figured they'd have pictures done of them together, so that when they got engaged, they would be able to use these pictures. Teri and I got together a couple weeks prior, and she wasn't expecting the engagement to be until at least sometime in November, so I of course contacted Herb to see what his plans were! And boy oh boy, do great minds think a like!
We met up at the gazebo overlooking the Schuylkill River behind the Philadelphia Museum of Art to stat our session. We took at least two dozen really great shots, and I had them go sit on a small flight of steps, right by the river. We took a couple of shots, and before Teri knew it, Herb popped the ring out of his pocket, and asked Teri to marry him!!! It was so perfect and so romantic... Ryan and I were able to capture every moment of it! I was fighting back tears the whole time, because I didnt want to get my new camera wet... but I didn't succeed very well! We then continued to take more pictures now WITH the gorgeous ring on her finger... and then they went home to call their families and friends to spread the wonderful news!
We then met up again a couple hours later, and took a ride down to 59th Street beach in Ocean City! We were able to get some really beautiful shots of them on the rocks, and in the water... even though they both got a little wet! Sorry about that guys! :) They even showed off their Phillies and Eagles pride with a couple shots in each of their jerseys!
Teri and Herb, thank you so much for such a wonderful day! Its couples like the two of you that make me love being a photographer even more! I live for moments like the ones I got to capture with the two of you! And as promised, below are some photos from your memorable day!

Busy busy weekend ahead!

Its Friday morning, and I'm bracing myself for the weekend I have ahead of me! It may be busy, but it will definitely be well worth it too! Tonight Ryan and I are going to Shady Brook Farms in PA for a haunted hayride/corn maze/etc. with his grandparents and aunt and uncle. I definitely look forward to this every year! It's become sorta like a tradition... and i like traditions!
Tomorrow it going to be extra crazy. I am doing pictures of my friend Teri and her boyfriend Herb tomorrow. We're going to start out at 10am at the gazebo behind the Philadelphia Art Museum, and maybe take some pictures along boathouse row... then we're heading down to Ocean City at 2pm to take some more pictures of them down there. It will definitely be a lot of fun! Hopefully I'll have some of those pictures up before next weekend.
We then have to hurry back from Ocean City so that we can change into our FLYERS gear, and head to the Flyers home-opener versus the Rangers! This will be my first season not sitting in the first row (I know, boo hoo for me!) but the tickets more than quadrupled in price, so we had to give them up... but now we're in the 5th row in a different section, and the seats aren't too bad... I will just have to get used to people sitting in front of me! Hopefully I'll get some good pictures of the game, and i'll post them up here soon.
Then on Sunday, I am doing family pictures for my boss and her children and grandchildren, which should be interesting! I'm hoping that goes smoothly! And then after that, Ryan and I have to go shopping for some new suits for him, since he just got promoted to the Assistant Manager position at work.. Go Ryan!
On top of all of this, I have to study for my mid-term for Tuesday... so like I said, this is going to be a busy busy weekend! :)

GO FLYERS!!!!

Good in Bed by Jennifer Weiner

Good in Bed was a great read! And no, it’s not actually about being “good in bed,” you’ll just have to read it to find out why its titled that! The book had me from start to end.. finished it within three days..a funny but realistic view from a plus size girl..a must read for the reader who likes a little humor with romance.. Unexpected things happen throughout the story and it keeps you hooked. This is a great book for women who do not feel comfortable in their bodies, like Jennifer Weiner explains is pretty much every woman! This was one of my favorite books!

Here’s a great quote from the book:
"I've learned a lot this year.. I learned that things don't always turn out the way you planned, or the way you think they should. And I've learned that there are things that go wrong that don't always get fixed or get put back together the way they were before. I've learned that some broken things stay broken, and I've learned that you can get through bad times and keep looking for better ones, as long as you have people who love you." — Cannie

I was a second Photog!!!

A good snapshot stops a moment from running away.
~Eudora Welty

Last weekend I had the incredible opportunity to be a second photographer with Janice from ADC Photography, based out of Marlton, NJ. Janice is such a wonderful person to shoot with, because she is so helpful and has taught me a lot about wedding photography! She has a photojournalistic view which encompasses all of the emotions of the day perfectly. The bride and groom, Allison and Lee, were so sweet and so much fun to photograph! Congratulations to you both! Below are some of the pictures I had the chance to capture throughout the day. Thanks so much Janice!
